5.1. Methodological overview

The subject is structured in four main methodological lines:

 

  • Theoretical reflection about the performance involvements as a representation of the moving body inside art and mass media.
  • Practical experimentation of the technical aspects regarding the moving body. 
  • Resolution of problems and cases by means of the use of improvisation and technical knowledge about different media (sound, moving image and light).in the performative and multimediatic play 
  • Iniciation to fundamental techniques about practical producing of audiovisual projects of “cinedanza” and action films. Resolution of problems and cases by means of the use of specific software.

5.3. Syllabus

The plan offered to the student in order to help him/her to get the expected results comprises the following activities.

 

1st week. Presentation of the school year. The skeletal and muscular structure and its operational mechanics in the performative compositional process.

1st practice: From quadrupedalism to bipedalism.

 

2nd week. The skeletal and muscular structure and its operational mechanics in the performative compositional process.

1st practice: Improvisation/ movement codes.

 

3rd week. The skeletal and muscular structure and its operational mechanics in the performative compositional process.

1st practice: Repetition and kinesthetic memory.

 

4th week. The skeletal and muscular structure and its operational mechanics in the performative compositional process.

1st practice: The body as a metaphor.

 

5th week. Portfolio delivery and correction.

 

6th week. The moving body in the multimedia performance space –light-

2nd practice: Light and its delimiter role in space. General cold and warm illumination.

 

7th week. The moving body in the multimedia performance space –light-

2nd practice: The sound in the space of performative representation. Light and its delimiter role in space. Classical illumination (frontal, lateral and semilateral) from the cinematic and scenic perspective.

 

8th week. The moving body in the multimedia performance space –light-

2nd practice: The metaphorical use of light and colour.

 

9th week. Portfolio delivery and correction.

 

10th week. The sound in the space of performative representation.

3rd practice: The body as a sound producer.

 

11th week. The sound in the space of performative representation.

3rd practice: Sound scenery or the noises band.

 

12th week. The sound in the space of performative representation.

3rd practice:  The leitmotif or metaphorical sound.

 

13th week. Portfolio delivery and correction.

 

14th week. Moving body and image.

4th practice: The body as a projector screen and metaphor.

 

15th week. Moving body and image.

4th practice: The continuity of the action from alternating simultaneity between performative action and image.

 

16th week. Moving body and image.

4th practice: “Cinedanza”

 

17th week. Moving body and image.

4th practice: The multiperspective fragmentation of the moving body image through filming.

 

18th week. Moving body and image.

4th practice: The multiperspective fragmentation of the moving body image through editing.

 

19th week. Moving body and image.

-4th practice: The multiperspective fragmentation of the moving body image through kinesthetic sound.
